Dedicated to the HR community, we quarterly publish Talent Management booklet series to provide easy to understand, informative articles and real case studies. As the second quarter is verging to a close, in this issue we will try to look a bit further into the coming two quarters to see where the economy is going and how it will be affecting the outlook of the job market. We will look into various HR hot topics such as employee entrenchment in China, the launch of MPF Employee Choice Arrangement (ECA), the ways of grooming good talents with a well designed approach etc. In this issue, we will also take a trip to Macau, our neighbour who is called the ¡§Monte Carlo of the Orient¡¨, to explore the people management strategies of a world-class hotel as well as the opportunities in the flourishing hotel and hospitality industry in the city.

Back to Hong Kong, some other best-practice organisations will also share with us their experience on some interesting and inspiring topics.

It is hoped that we could offer you the latest news on HR management and executive education, whilst also giving you some inspiration on managing your valuable talents as well as your own life. With this in mind, we have invited a renowned scholar in economics as well as two seasoned consultants to analyse the economic trends and employment outlook in the coming two quarters. They will also offer their insightful advice for the management and HR managers to embrace the challenges ahead.
