Trainee Programs under Different Fields Fostering Property Management Specialists into Different Positions and Roles

Property management involves a wide range of professional disciplin es, including property and facilities management, technical management, and customer service etc. Kai Shing has established multiple trainee programs specifically for graduates, namely ¡§Property Officer Trainee (POT) Program¡¨, ¡§Technical Trainee Program¡¨, and ¡§Service Trainee Program.¡¨ These programs provide graduates trainings from respective fields in property management, equipping young talents knowledge and hands-on experience in the industry.
The ¡§Property Officer Trainee (POT) Program¡¨ is specifically designed for university graduates from diverse academic backgrounds with no more than two years of full-time working experience. Trainees will be able to gain practical hands-on experience by working at shopping malls, office buildings and residential properties, developing all-round skills in property management. Mr. Jackson Cheung joined the program after finishing the course in landscape and a master¡¦s degree in urban design. Jackson shared his view towards the industry, "Property management covers multiple professional disciplines, offering opportunities for graduates with different academic backgrounds to identify their strengths and career paths."

Encouraging Talents to Broaden Horizons By Offering Various Opportunities

Kai Shing¡¦s trainee programs not only offer practical working experience, but also offer opportunities for talents to develop their career interests. For instance, Ms. Heibe Lam was assigned to work in Singapore for three years after completing her POT program. The experience has helped her to widen international perspectives, deepened her understanding of Singapore's workplace culture and property management practices, which enabled her to bring these valuable insights back to Hong Kong and refine her team management efficiency.

Setting Clear Career Paths Empowering Talents to Grow

Kai Shing provides a clear and structured career paths for trainees, facilitating their development into long-term careers within the company. Over the years, the POT program has successfully nurtured many leaders, in which Mr. Gary Jor is one of the leaders, who was a trainee of POT program in the past. Starting from an Assistant Property Officer, he then gradually promoted to be a Senior Property and Facility Manager, and currently overseeing multiple residential properties. Gary shared his story that the most challenging yet rewarding part of his career journey was preparing new property projects. The fruitful experience strengthened his skills and pushed him to beyond his limits.

Opportunities to Engage in Innovative Technologies Inspiring New Mindsets

While Kai Shing¡¦s POT Program focuses on nurturing future property management leaders, the ¡§Technical Trainee Program¡¨ is specifically designed to cultivate potential technical talents in property management industry. The company integrates innovative technologies into its training system, inspiring young talents to embrace new perspectives.
Mr. Van Hon, a graduate of the ¡§Engineering Graduate Trainee Program¡¨ shared, "The company¡¦s dedication to innovative technology has significantly improved efficiency and accuracy in technical management and property maintenance. This approach has enabled us to seamlessly align with future technological trends and continuously advance our expertise."

Seizing Opportunities from Greater Bay Area Attracting Outstanding Talents

In view of the Government¡¦s Greater Bay Area Youth Employment Scheme, Kai Shing has actively expanded its recruitment efforts into Mainland China in recent years. Last year, the company expanded its scope of trainee programs by adding the ¡§Service Trainee Program¡¨, providing Mainland graduates with opportunities to develop careers in Hong Kong. This program provides trainees with valuable hands-on working experience in Grade A office buildings, emphasizing essential communication skills and a commitment to service excellence. In addition, the program includes site visits at different properties, helping them to adopt into the workplace easily and know more about Hong Kong¡¦s high-end customer service standards.

Ms. Mona Zhang from Jiangxi is one of the trainees who joined the ¡§Service Trainee Program¡¨. Despite struggling in speaking Cantonese at the early stage, she rapidly developed her confidence to serve international customers under the support from her colleagues. Mona demonstrated her rapid adaptation and proficiency in Cantonese by utilizing the company¡¦s extensive learning resources.

Driving Digital Transformation in Property Management
Optimizing Efficiency and Workplace Engagement

Kai Shing has gradually upgraded its human resources management systems to enhance operational efficiency. Employees are able to access their personal information and records in a more convenient way via an HR self-service portal; while they also allowed to use the electronic platform to manage their leave applications, appraisal forms and payroll documents. Additionally, the company¡¦s internal communication app also offers employees with different online training courses, promoting a culture of self-learning and strengthening employee engagement.
