Dah Chong Hong Embraces Digital Transformation in Human Resources Management
Building a High-Efficiency Team and Actively Giving Back to Society
08 Dec 2025

Dah Chong Hong Holdings Limited (DCH) has consistently adopted a comprehensive human resources management strategy and has established a cohesive and efficient team. This year, DCH again won the ¡§Employer of Choice Award¡¨ and was also granted the ¡§Human Resources Digitalization Award¡¨ and the ¡§Corporate Social Responsibility Award¡¨. These accolades underscore DCH¡¦s dedication to excellence in both management and social responsibility.

Ms. Ivy Yeung, Director - Head of Consumer Division of Dah Chong Hong Holdings Limited, highlighted in an interview: ¡§With nearly 14,000 employees, we embrace the Totality management approach, building a multi-dimensional framework that encompasses fair compensation, thoughtful benefits, development opportunities, a welcoming work environment, and a strong corporate culture.¡¨ Ivy further explained, ¡§We also implement measures like promotions and rewards to recognize and motivate our team.¡¨

Ivy stressed the group¡¦s focus on employee health and well-being. ¡§We believe that a healthy and happy workforce drives excellent services for our customers and stakeholders. That¡¦s why we organize team-building events, parent-child activities, volunteer programs, and shopping discounts. For employees facing challenges, we offer dedicated support.¡¨

Digital HR Innovation: 'AI Chong Junior' A Virtual Human Resources Assistant

In response to the ever-changing corporate environment, DCH has actively pursued digital transformation in recent years, leveraging IT in various business operations and HR management fields. For instance, last year, DCH deployed artificial intelligence to develop a virtual HR chatbot named "AI Chong Junior". It was officially launched in July to provide instant HR consultation services to DCH employees in Hong Kong.

Safety First: Commitment to Workplace Occupational Safety and Health Measures

¡§Employee safety is a priority under our people-oriented approach,¡¨ Ivy emphasized. ¡§Through a process of identifying hazards, implementing preventive measures, and ongoing reviews, we¡¦ve strengthened our safety standards across all business units to strictly comply with the group's Occupational Safety and Health Management System. To date, multiple business units have successfully achieved the ISO45001 certification."

Comprehensive ESG Initiatives Drive Sustainability

Since 2022, DCH has been compiling detailed ESG reports, aiming to review and optimize existing policies and actively implementing comprehensive measures to enhance the group¡¦s performance in overall environment conservation. For example, DCH's food processing and logistics center in Yuen Long has installed the second-largest solar power system in Hong Kong. Moreover, DCH is committed to providing a comfortable working environment for its employees. Its headquarters in Kowloon Bay has been honored with both LEED Green Building and Well v2 Healthy Building Standards™ Platinum certifications, cementing its commitment to sustainability.

Action-Oriented Approach Demonstrates Commitment to Social Responsibility
DCH¡¦s dedication to community engagement was evident from its over ten volunteer activities last year. Additionally, the group collaborated with the Hong Kong Red Cross to hold four blood donations at the DCH headquarters.

Additionally, the group participated in various fundraising events such as ¡§Thalassemia Red Clothes Day¡¨ and Tung Wah Group of Hospitals¡¦ ¡§Flag Day¡¨. DCH volunteers also regularly visited children¡¦s homes and elderly care facilities, distributed care packages, and supported events like the Oxfam Rice Sale, showing concern for individuals in need and giving back to society.

Six Core Training and Development Areas

To systematically provide training and development opportunities, DCH has developed and strictly adheres to the "Training and Development Policy." The training focuses on six key areas: technology and data analytics, well-being and personal development, soft skills and professional development, legal and compliance, leadership and strategy, and innovation and sustainability.

In summary, while continuously improving the quality of its products and services, DCH proactively fulfills its corporate social responsibility, striving to support environmental conservation and strengthen corporate governance initiatives. The group is paving the way for long-range and sustainable development.
