CPA Austrailia Enters MOU with University of Macau

The accounting program offered by the Faculty of Business Administration of the University of Macau has been accredited by CPA Australia.

The accreditation enables University of Macau accounting graduates to apply for Associate membership of CPA Australia and the CPA Program.

The announcement was made by Mr Paul Meiklejohn, president of CPA Australia, and Professor Gabriel Donleavy, dean of the Faculty of Business Administration, University of Macau, when they signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on 30 May 2007.

Mr Tam told media representatives that CPA Australia's cooperation with the University of Macau was a step towards enhancing the accounting profession in Macau.

The MoU announcement also resulted in students from Macau expressing their desire to pursue their accounting designation with CPA Australia.
