Being the winner of "Employer of Choice" for the 10th consecutive years, this year Centaline Property Agency Limited (Centaline) was also presented accolades of "Retention Strategy Award", "Corporate Training Award" and "Asia Pacific Outstanding Employer Award". Ms. Melody So, Executive Director (Corporate Affairs) of Centaline Property Agency Limited was honored and deeply impressed. "It is a motivation for being acknowledged by JobMarket for 10 years in a roll in recognition of Centaline's investment in environment, social and governance aspects as well as our employees' hard work and contributions".

Champions the Belief of Giving Back to Society
Centaline upholds the belief of "Raising the Bar in Industry Benchmarks, Actively Giving Back to Society", embedding sustainable development policies in three aspects of ESG (environment, social and governance). Not only did Centaline receive ESG Pledge Scheme Logo authorised by The Chinese Manufacturers' Association of Hong Kong, but it also made it to the finals and became one of the ten winners of "Hong Kong ESG Award" in 2023. With its motivation, encouragement and employee participation, Centaline has received many ESG related certifications and awards in the past years, acknowledging the success of employee engagement and reassuring the belief of continual giving back to society.

Melody added that the company established Centaline Charity Fund in 2004 which aims to alleviate poverty in Hong Kong and the Mainland and promote educational initiatives. "Centaline Charity Fund Scholarship" was set up in 2011 to encourage and assist high school graduates to further studies in universities in Hong Kong, the Mainland or overseas. "In the past 13 years, Centaline has approved a total of 1,800 applications for fund allotments for more than 600 beneficiaries. We deeply believe in the importance of education to the society therefore we hope to offer financial assistance and overseas exchange supports for outstanding students from low-income families." She continued that Centaline hosts appreciation ceremony every year for "Centaline Scholars" so that they can get to know the seniors. "In the past years, we have gathered together many beneficiary students, encouraged and supported them to give back to society through various initiatives."

In addition to scholarships, Centaline Charity Fund has supported Salvation Army in organizing 4 schools, wishing to groom more students through funding educational institutions. Every year, the company also allocates resources to the Emergency Assistance Fund of Occupational Safety and Health Association of the Hong Kong Federation of Trade Unions to offer financial assistance to workers who encounter work injuries. Melody also shared that Centaline Charity Fund and Power of Love have co-organised "POLCCF Dialysis Centre" to provide low-priced haemodialysis service to renal patients. Furthermore, Centaline organizes a volunteer team to mobilize employees and business partners to participate in social services, assist social welfare institutions in planning and supporting activities and provide human resources. "The company allows employees and their relatives and friends to participate in voluntary work during office hours in order to encourage their active participation to help people in need."

Actively Nurtures Estate Professionals
Centaline treats employees as the most important asset. It focuses on enhancing employee values and hence company operational efficiency. The company has established Centaline Training Institute to provide comprehensive professional training to cater for various employee learning needs at different stages and under dynamic market conditions, so that every employee can grow with the company. Melody went on, to maximize employee engagement and productivity, new employees will be arranged to join an induction class to learn about company service pledge, company structure, department operation, history and culture, and most importantly, their duties and code of conducts as estate agents. It also offers continuing professional development scheme recognized by Estate Agents Authority to encourage frontline agents to master latest market information, legal knowledge, surveying and valuations, code of conducts, information technology applications and language classes to fully equip employees. It also organizes regular qualifying classes to help those who are interested in getting licences and embarking a career in real estate industry, fuelling the industry with new energy.

The institute published two reference books for licensing examinations to provide guidance to existing employees and general public who are keen to become licensed what to take note of the examinations. The institute has highlighted property market information, relevant laws and procedures under various topics and made up a series of footage and case study uploaded on YouTube and other social media. Melody added that Centaline launched Continuing Professional Development courses accredited by Estate Agents Authority to encourage colleagues to actively enrol in continuing professional development courses to obtain corresponding professional licences, progressively enhance knowledge in the dynamic market, strengthen customer confidence in Centaline estate agents' professional level, and achieve the principle of "fostering professionalism and exhibiting strengths".

Centaline firmly believes training can reinforce professional integrity and self-esteem in employees, so that employees can serve customers more professionally. Aligning with market trends, the company organizes tailored classes for frontline salespeople to widen their knowledge in various aspects of real estate sector, uplift professional level, technical knowhow and strengthen sales ability. It has also set up "Branch Manager Training Class" to reinforce recently promoted branch managers' knowledge in department operation, their roles and responsibilities, facilitating branch management going forward and enhancing understanding of management accountability and techniques.
Centaline entertained more than 100 elites, and the scene was spectacular.

Comprehensive Career Advancement Ladder
Centaline established "Centaline Eagle Club" in 1990. Top performers with outstanding sales results will be invited to join Centaline Eagle Club every year. Centaline Eagle Club embeds the principle of "pursuing the finest and nurturing the best" in various training programs, themed seminars, overseas travels, charitable fundraising and exchange activities to uplift elites' work abilities, interpersonal relationships and partnership networks.

In addition, the company hosts large-scale award-presenting ceremony every year to extend appreciations to outstanding frontline sales employees. These awards include Outstanding Real Estate Agent, Ten Million Dollar Branch Manager, Outstanding Branch Manager, Top Performance-Regional Manager and Top Revenue Producer-Director. Every year, distinguished estate agents will be recommended to compete for "Distinguished Salesperson Award", an Oscar in sales sector, to allow employees to interact with other outstanding salespersons.

Centaline established Centaline Staff Association with an aim to strengthen employee connections, safeguard employee interests, provide feedback to management and organize various communication and social activities.

Melody concluded that "not only does Centaline actively develop its business, but also it fulfils social responsibilities. The company shares the same vision with employees in offering professional services to customers, recognizing employees' contributions, caring for employees' needs and adhering to worklife balance."
Centaline was awarded the "Achievement Grand Award" by HKMA, the highest honor for the number of previous Distinguished Salesperson Award winners.
