HONG KONG - March 20, 2014 - Aruba Networks, Inc. (NASDAQ:ARUN) announced that Kenneth Ma has been appointed as the Country Manager of Hong Kong and Macau. In his new role with the company, he will be responsible for spearheading business growth, strengthening partner relationships and developing sales channels for the company in the region with his extensive market knowledge and sales experience. Ma will report directly to Gary Jackson, Vice President, Asia Pacific and Japan, Aruba Networks. As a connected city of over seven million people with over 200% mobile penetration, Hong Kong is seeing great potentials in the WiFi market as nearly 80% and 60% of the survey respondents use WiFi at home and business respectively, according to the WiFi Adoption and Security Survey 2013 sponsored by the Office of the Communications Authority. As the Country Manager of Hong Kong and Macau, Ma will be playing an active role in driving Aruba Networks' business development with his extensive network and experience in the field, acute business sense and unique insights into the fast-growing sea of opportunities in the two markets.
"Hong Kong and Macau have always been the homes of many technology-savvy citizens. Today's businesses value technology which can enable business development and in the Generation Mobile era, the best-in-class network access solutions will play crucial role in business success," said Ma. "Aruba is the industry leader in providing these mobility solutions. I am looking forward to be working with Aruba in delivering what the region's businesses want with my experience and expertise in formulating effective business strategies."
Ma has over 17 years of sales and management experience, including 14 years focused on the information technology and telecommunications industries. Prior to joining Aruba Networks, Ma worked as the General Manager of Sales in CITIC Telecom International CPC Limited. Throughout his career, he has delivered numerous professional presentations to multinational corporations and public associations as well as at renowned industry conferences.
As a committee member of the Cloud Computing Special Interest Group (CCSIG) of Hong Kong Computer Society (HKCS) and a member of the Hong Kong Information Technology Joint Council (HKITJC), Ma has been actively promoting and facilitating the adoption of cloud computing in Hong Kong.
"We're glad to have Ma onboard with us to drive wider adoption of our solutions in Hong Kong and Macau," said Gary Jackson, Vice President, Asia Pacific and Japan, Aruba Networks. "Network access technology has been evolving rapidly, with more and more users demanding better networks that are stable, fast and also secure, especially in the workplace. As time goes on, with the emergence of trends like Generation Mobile, legacy equipment that provides basic Internet access will become inadequate in coping with the needs of its users and thus be rendered obsolete. Hong Kong and Macau both possess great potential for our business to grow as they already have established ICT infrastructures, and we firmly believe Ma's leadership of the company in Hong Kong and Macau will help us expand our regional footprint tremendously."
About Aruba Networks, Inc. Aruba Networks is a leading provider of next-generation network access solutions for the mobile enterprise. The company's Mobile Virtual Enterprise (MOVE) architecture unifies wired and wireless network infrastructures into one seamless access solution for corporate headquarters, mobile business professionals, remote workers and guests. Hong Kong, March 17, 2014 - As online and offline commerce continue to take off and take shape in Asia Pacific, hybris software, an SAP company and the world's fastest growing commerce platform provider, has appointed a new head of Asia Pacific Japan (APJ) to take full advantage of the need for commerce solutions in the region. Graham Jackson has been appointed Senior Vice President, Asia Pacific Japan & China as hybris leads businesses and enterprises into the era of omni-channel commerce. Jackson, who joined hybris in June 2012 as Managing Director of hybris Australia, is in charge of running hybris' operations in the region, overseeing sales, marketing, partner relationships, recruitment and setting the strategic direction for the company in APJ, effective immediately.
"The future of commerce continues to be shaped by developments and mega-trends in technology--mobile, social, big data and cloud," said Jackson. "These trends are impacting how commerce is being conducted in a major way across the region and as these trends continue to evolve, it is imperative for businesses to be digital at their core."
The convergence of digital and physical commerce has become a driving force in the success of B2B and B2C companies. Channel agnostic technologies are emerging every day, enabling companies to capitalize on OmniCommerce by giving consumers what they want: an exceptional, integrated buying experience across all touchpoints and devices.
"Asia Pacific Japan has high mobile penetration and a fast-growing economy, leading to strong demand and opportunity for enterprises to sell through a wide variety of channels," said Jackson. "Companies that aren't able to access a unified view of what customers need, up-to-date inventory levels and product information are at risk of being left behind and losing customers, who are becoming increasingly fickle in today's extremely competitive commerce environment."
Before joining hybris, Jackson was Managing Director of Bazaarvoice Australia & New Zealand. Jackson is also a successful entrepreneur who previously launched two IT businesses, and he set up operations for two other corporations in Australia.
